Privacy policy

1. Data controller

The controller of personal data collected through timerchrono.com is Simon JANVIER, at the address stated in the legal notice. To exercise your rights or ask a privacy question, please use the Contact form and include “Personal data” in your message.

2. Data collected and purposes

2.1 Technical logs and security

When you access the site, the server and/or hosting provider may record technical data (IP address, access logs, browser type, timestamps) for security, fraud prevention and service improvement. This processing is based on legitimate interests, in line with CNIL guidance on web logs.

2.2 Contact form

If you use the contact form, the information you provide (name, email, subject, message) is processed solely to handle your request. The legal basis is your request (pre-contractual measures / legitimate interests as applicable).

2.3 Audience measurement (Google Analytics)

If you accept measurement cookies via the banner, Google Analytics may set cookies and collect usage data (page views, duration, device type, etc.) to analyze traffic. Further processing by Google is governed by Google’s own documentation.

The legal basis is consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.

2.4 OpenPanel (if enabled)

If OpenPanel analytics is enabled on the deployment, usage events may be sent according to the technical configuration. Purposes include product analytics and improvement; the legal basis is consent when treated like non-essential cookies, or legitimate interests when strictly necessary and aligned with applicable guidance.

3. Retention

Contact requests are kept only as long as needed to process the reply, then deleted or archived according to legal obligations. Audience data is retained according to tool configuration and recommended maximum retention for analytics metrics.

4. Recipients and processors

Data may be shared with processors strictly necessary to operate the site: hosting provider, email delivery provider for contact messages, analytics providers only where consent or another valid basis applies.

5. International transfers

Some tools may involve transfers outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, TimerChrono aims to implement appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary measures) under Chapter V GDPR.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR and French law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability (where applicable) and provide instructions for after your death.

You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (France).
